On the outside, I sure looked successful—constantly busy, winning awards and recognition—but in reality, I was silently suffering, going broke, and burning out. By the end of 2016, my nervous system, body, and bank account hit their limit, and life forced me to slow down completely.
After struggling with debilitating migraines and a heartbreaking pregnancy loss, I committed to a consistent self-care routine, incorporating yoga and mindfulness meditation. Over time, I healed, restored balance to my nervous system, and reconnected with my vision and higher purpose. Becoming a mother of two, during the 2020 pandemic, taught me that to truly be the best mom, wife, and leader, I had to start by being kind to myself first.
